Paper & pulp

Pulp and paper processing involves the use of wood as raw material to produce pulp, paper, cardboard and other cellulose-based products. Typical emissions generated from this type of manufacturing include Nitrogen oxides (NOxsulfur oxides (SOx), carbon dioxide (CO2) and VOCs.

Fine particulate matter (PM2.5) is also generated by this process, consisting of particles 2.5 microns in diameter or less which can penetrate the respiratory system and have a serious effect on health.
