Mineral processing

Mineral processing, which separates valuable minerals from their ores, generates a number of emissions that must be mitigated to meet clean air regulations.

Typical emissions from mining operations include the products of combustion such as nitrous oxidecarbon dioxidecarbon monoxide and sulfur dioxide. The main sources of combustion-related emissions are from diesel generators and fuel-oil boilers.

TAPC has designed and installed systems to deal with sulfur dioxide emissions from pyrometallurgical processes (e.g. roasting) and ammonia emissions from processes such as solvent extraction.
